• Enterprise claims operating system(ECOS) is a claims handling solution using Guidewire Claim center on handling the claims business for The Hartford Insurance group. ECOS uses Spring Batch and spring web services modules to integrate with Guidewire and external systems
• Worked on integration layer between Guidewire Claim Center and external applications using spring batch.
• Developed batch jobs to process large volumes of data(UCMF payload) in Oracle DB published by Guidewire Claim Center using Spring batch framework and transform them into text file, csv or xml based on requirements.
• Read large volumes of data from external systems in text file or csv or xml , transformed them according to business logic and then consumed web services exposed by Guidewire Claim Center to update the information in Guidewire Claim Center.
• Analyzed root causes hindering the performance of batch jobs & resolved them to reduce the running time.
• Automated the start of batch jobs using JIL scripts. Created a utility tool in Java to automate data set up.

Travel Management System

Description:
Developed a travel planner system, which describes about the climatic conditions, interesting places to visit, top hotels in the area and some additional features like travel reminders depending on the user’s destination. Consumed REST(Representational State Transfer) Complaint Api’s because it provides better performance as well as lower cost over time.

Hospital Readmission Data Analysis Using R

Description:
The objective of this project was to develop a model to reduce the readmission rate. The primary focus is to reduce the readmission rate of diabetic patients. We were provided with a dataset(10kdiabetes.csv) containing 52 features of patient records. We used the given dataset and applied chi-square analysis and built classification models based on machine learning algorithms to predict the essential factors influencing the patient re-admission rate. Additionally, we proposed and analyzed other tasks that can strengthen the readmission risk model.

Techniques: Linear Regression, Logistic regression, Decision Tree, Neural Network, Random Forests, Association Rules, Bayesian Statistics.
